I-Coronal Mass Ejection (CMEs) eminingi evela ku-The Sun Observed  

Okungenani ama-coronal mass ejections (CMEs) ayisikhombisa avela elangeni abonwe. Umthelela wayo wafika eMhlabeni ngomhla ziyi-10 kuNhlaba wezi-2024 futhi uzoqhubeka kuze kube umhla ziyi-12 kuNhlaba wezi-2024.  

Umsebenzi ose-sunspot AR3664 uthwetshulwe yisathelayithi i-GOES-16 esetshenziswa yi-National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).  

I-Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) ye-NOAA ikhiphe Isexwayiso Sesiphepho Se-Geomagnetic ngomhla ka-10 Meyi lapho owokuqala kwama-CME amaningana afika eMhlabeni. I-CME yayinamandla kakhulu. Isimo sesiphepho se-geomagnetic siyaqhubeka singase siqhubeke ngempelasonto. 

I-Coronal Mass Ejection (CMEs) iwukukhishwa ngezikhathi ezithile kwenani elikhulu le-plasma eshisayo lisuka ku-corona yelanga liye ongqimbeni olungaphandle lomkhathi welanga (i-heliosphere). Lokhu kukhishwa okukhulu kwe-plasma ku-heliosphere kudala ukuphazamiseka okukhulu emoyeni welanga kanye ne-interplanetary magnetic field okudala iziphepho kazibuthe emkhakheni we-geomagnetic woMhlaba uma ziqondiswe eMhlabeni. 

Umoya welanga ukusakazwa okuqhubekayo kwezinhlayiya ezishajwa ngogesi (okungukuthi, i-plasma) eziphuma kungqimba lomkhathi ongaphandle we-corona yeLanga. Lokhu kubangela usongo ezinhlotsheni zokuphila kanye nobuchwepheshe kagesi obusekelwe emphakathini wesimanje wabantu. Kodwa-ke, amandla kazibuthe oMhlaba anikeza isivikelo emoyeni welanga ongenayo ngokuwususa kude noMhlaba.

Noma ikuphi ukuphazamiseka okukhulu kudala iziphepho kazibuthe emkhakheni we-geomagnetic woMhlaba ezingaba nomthelela kwingqalasizinda endaweni ezungezile eseduze noMhlaba nangaphezulu komhlaba, okungase kuphazamise ukuxhumana, igridi yamandla kagesi, ukuzulazula, umsakazo kanye nokusebenza kwesathelayithi.
