I-COVID-19: Okuhlukile kwe-JN.1 kukwazi ukusuleleka okuphezulu kanye nekhono lokuphunyuka lokuzivikela komzimba 

Ukuguqulwa kwe-Spike (S: L455S) kuwuphawu lokuguqulwa kwe-JN.1 okuhlukile okuthuthukisa ngokuphawulekayo amandla ako okugwema amasosha omzimba okuyenza ikwazi ukubalekela ngempumelelo amasosha omzimba Ekilasi 1. Ucwaningo lusekela ukusetshenziswa kwemithi yokugomela ebuyekeziwe ye-COVID-19 enamaprotheni e-spike ukuze kuthuthukiswe umphakathi.  

Ukungena Covid-19 kuye kwabikwa amacala ezingxenyeni eziningi zomhlaba. Okusha i-sub-variant JN.1 (BA.2.86.1.1) eguquke ngokushesha isuka ku-BA.2.86 ehlukile muva nje ibibangela ukukhathazeka.  

I-JN.1 (BA.2.86.1.1) i-sub-variant inokushintshwa kwe-spike okwengeziwe (S: L455S) uma kuqhathaniswa nesandulela sayo i-BA.2.86. Lokhu ukuguquguquka okuphawulekayo kwe-JN.1 okuthuthukisa ngokuphawulekayo amandla ayo okugwema amasosha omzimba okuyenza ikwazi ukubalekela ngempumelelo amasosha omzimba e-Class 1. I-JN.1 iphinde ibe nezinguquko ezintathu kumaprotheni angewona ama-S. Sekukonke, i-JN.1 ikhulise ukusuleleka kanye nekhono lokuphunyuka lokuzivikela komzimba1,2.  

Imithi yokugomela i-COVID-19 isihambe ibanga elide kusukela ubhubhane futhi ibuyekeziwe kubhekiselwa kuphrotheni ye-spike ukuze ihlangabezane nezinselelo ezilethwa izinhlobo ezintsha ezisanda kuvela.
