Isiqophamlando sasingu-23.77°N, 121.67°E 25.0 km SSE yase-Hualien County Hall endaweni okugxilwe kuyo engu-15.5 km. Abaningi ngemuva kokuzamazama ukuqina okuhlukahlukene kurekhodiwe kuze kube manje. Kuseyisimo esiguqukayo yingakho isilinganiso esinembile somonakalo ezimpilweni zabantu nasezimpahleni akutholakali.

Ukuzamazama komhlaba kwango-1951 nango-2018 kwadala umonakalo omkhulu empilweni nasezimpahleni zakule ndawo.

Futhi, i-foreshock kanye ne-mainshock kwakhulula amandla amaningi phakathi nokulandelana.
